Meet the Author
I am obsessed with science fiction: watching it, reading it, writing it, dreaming up new and interesting ways to torture my characters. I am a 51 year old woman who can’t stand romance novels, shies from emotions but is onboard with a “hell yeah” for action! This is funny because it’s the complete opposite of who I am in real life.
I can’t stand talking about myself and shy away from anyone who asks me to tell them about myself. “Tell me a little about yourself.” I mean, what do you say in that moment? How do you boil yourself down into one little soundbite? I start listing off items like I do when I’m making a grocery list. My name is Tara, I live in Seattle, originally from Connecticut, I have a little tuxedo cat named Buffy, yes, named after Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
But is that really the answer people want when they ask you about yourself? What do they want to know? I’m not a psychopath and I’ve never donned a trench coat to flash women. But I do like to use my finger to scoop out some peanut butter even though I’m right next to the spoons.
None of that really matters to you, though, does it? As long as I crank out the stories, what more do you need? Really? Okay, I’ll give you one more tidbit about me. I love to sing and dance. Stick me in front of a microphone and I’ll blast your eardrums out with any karaoke song.
And if all of that still isn’t enough, well, then here are the basics. I live in Seattle, I love writing science fiction, fantasy, horror, mystery, and literature. I write long form, short form, play form, poem form, you name it. I love to write. This website is meant to be a portfolio of my writing, so keep checking back for new content, and drop me a line from time to time. I’d love to hear from you!
Happy reading!
